The Town of Southington is located in Hartford County, within 20 miles of Hartford and 9 miles of Waterbury, and includes the sections of Plantsville, Milldale, and Marion. The geographic area of the town is 36.8 square miles. While today it's a modern residential, commercial, and industrial community, Southington is proud of its history. Southington is run by a Town Manager/Town Council form of government. Alex Ricciardone is the current Town Manager.

The Town of Plainville covers an area of 9.8 square miles and is located in Hartford County, midway between New Britain and Bristol, and 14 miles southwest of Hartford.
The Town of Plainville has a diverse business base in town and is one of the only municipalities to own its own airport, Robertson Airfield. Plainville is run by a Town Manager/Town Council form of government. Michael Paulhus is the current Town Manager.

Named for being halfway between Middletown and Durham and halfway between Middletown and Meriden, Middlefield became a town in 1866. Located in Middlesex County, the town has a total area of 13.3 square miles. The town has many seasonal attractions (Lyman Orchards and Powder Ridge Ski Resort) that bring crowds into town every weekend. Middlefield has a selectman-town meeting form of government. Robert Yamartino is the current First Selectman.
