Join the Capital Region MRC!

SCHD partners with the Capital Region Medical Reserve Corps (CR-MRC).  Since 2003, the CR-MRC has served the greater Hartford region in “blue skies” times and during emergencies. The COVID-19 pandemic transformed the unit from 250 members to an unprecedented roster of 1,800+ members who contributed more than 20,000 hours of service!

The CR-MRC's primary mission is to provide medical and non-medical support to local or regional response teams during emergencies such as Points of Dispensing (PODs) (aka clinics) and emergency shelters. They also augment local first responder medical aid stations at community events and support local activities that promote community resilience.
